COWORKING HUB EXTENSION
PERSONAL PROJECT
TWO DAY SPRINT
After finishing my senior thesis (project 1), I had an epiphany moment of a different coworking hub design based on the research and development from the previous work. This design encompasses space, sound and weather design all in one unit. These final renders show this new idea and how it could also be implemented into the Dayton property; this design could also be easily built and used in virtually any other space, with minor modifications.

DEVELOPMENT
This personal project came together in a matter of days, with the initial idea taking on a sort of "outdoor cubicle" while still allowing urban sounds and not letting the users feel isolated with no sight lines.

FINAL RENDERS

The final design is a single unit that can be personalized and repeated in a way that best fits the space and the needs of the users. This design, intended for the Dayton site, seats up to 24 inside the hubs and 12 on the benches in the communal section of the design.
Each hub has two coat hooks on each side of the unit, a customizable wood panel, water repellent mesh covering and the option to incorporate an outlet system below the table. The unit would be made from powder coated carbon steel and a resin sealed wood.
